Glittering Olympics NOTD

I am loving the Olympics fever everyone is having at the moment!!

Using a mix of brands and colours, I created this:

I did holographic silver gradient tips as a base as silver works well with all colours and then on the thumbnail, I used a nail art paint brush to draw the 5 rings. 

I then created the Union Jack flag on my middle fingernail using cream nail polishes. 

Then, using glitter stripers, I glitzed it up!

I covered all my nails in two coats of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (three on the Union Jack nail) so give it a smooth, even and glossy finish.

Don't forget to watch out for me tomorrow - Sunday 12th Aug 2012. 

I'm dancing in a group and our section is on just after the athletes come on :)

Gold Rush NOTD

Now I'm not saying that my nails are magical, but I applied Model's Own Nail Polish in Gold Rush to my nails on Wednesday last week, and Team GB got their first Gold medal!!!!!!

The opacity of this isn't very thick. I think I did three coats in the end. 

However, I shortly got bored of just one colour nails so I got my out my black nail art polish and this is what happened...

I got quite a few compliments on these nails :)

Maybe try a gold polish to help your country win a gold medal! :P

Chasing down every temporary high OOTD

My mum bought me back this sleeveless dress from China - it's really cute the way the ruffles form a v-neckline. 

The waist is pulled in by elastic sewing and then the lining stops just above the hem. 

There is a little black lace to hem the polka dot material to add a cute touch!

Perfect for work or play on a summer's day :)

Disney Minnie Mini OPI - The Color of Minnie NOTD

When I saw OPI was teaming up with Disney to bring us a Minnie collection, I jumped at getting a mini Minnie set!

So cute and perfect colours! Minnie is my favourite Disney character, ever since I was a little girl :)

I used two coats of The Color of Minnie to reach this glossy opacity. It has a pearlescent quality which makes the red stand out just a little more than the basic cream formula. 

Using a white polish and a dotting tool, I did little Mickey Mouse silhouettes on accent nails and then topped them all off with Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat :)

Good afternoon, lovies!

I am aching from Olympics rehearsals but getting very excited!!

I wanted Gold nails to bring a gold fever to UK and then we started getting Gold medals!!! :D
