Hold that base under my feet OOTD

The other day, I was testing out what my hair look liked wavy and I thought my outfit looked cute :)

I think I prefer my hair wavy/curly than when it's straight.

I am actually wearing a black bow in this picture, but you can't really tell haha!

* Owl necklace from Primark
* Royal blue vest/strap top from H&M
* Cerise jumper from Primark
* Straight leg jeans from Levi

Lol at me trying to wink!

Love love and wavyhairlove!!

Glaquamarine NOTD

So I cut my nails short for my upcoming cheerleading competition (Saturday 23rd April - wish me luck!), but who said short nails can't be fun?

I did a base coat of Rimmel's 60 Second in 825 Sky High (which is a gorgeous colour, see my review here) over two coats of OPI Matte Nail Envy.

Then added one coat of OPI Catch Me In Your Net from the Flutterby collection :)

I love the colours combined, it reminds me of mermaids :)

Standard glitter polish blurred shots :P

Unfortunately, I can't wear this to competition :(

Love love and aquamarinelove!!

Apricot Flutterbys NOTD

Alright, readers? Yes? Good! I'm glad.

I found a stash of nail art decals so I thought I should use some :)

The base polish is a beautiful bright peach shade called Apricot Punch from Rimmel's I Love Fruities Last Finish range. I love the fact that it's scented!

The art decals look a bit sticker-ish up close (ie in my pictures) but in real life, they look cute and flat. I didn't want to put something on all my nails because I thought it would be more elegant!

I left out the middle and pinky fingers. The colour is so beautiful on its own anyway :)

I love this decal. The cute mini white butterflies make it into a little flutterby family!

What do you guys think? Art decals = like/dislike?

Love love and nailartdecallove!!

So the story goes OOTD

Really loving the outfit posts lately :)

This is the outfit I wore to the Sleek Event (Friday 1st April, 2011).
* Floral bow back design t-shirt from Motel
* White lace jersey dress from The Clothes Show Live
* Nude tights from Marks & Spencer (?)
* Black knitted boots from Primark

Actually, only the skirt of the dress is lace.

* Long necklace from Accessorize

*Navy blue blazer from New Look

After the Sleek event, Fei (peoniesandlilies) and I stopped off at a diner for a scrumptious hazelnut milkshake and some yummy cheesy snacks!

Fei got potato skins with bacon and cheese and I got cheese fries! Both of these were side orders but were pretty big portions!! Haha :P

Then, on my way home I grabbed some milk for my flat and stopped off on a bridge to take pictures of the Thames as it was a beautiful day :)

Can you believe this is England?!

Sean Hanna Salon Review!

Hello lovely ladies and gents,

Today, I am going to review the Sean Hanna hair salon in Putney.
(If you want to see my hair cut you can click here for the picture post!)

This will be my first review of this kind, but I had a great experience and I wanted to let you know about it :)

This is the beautiful, clean, spacious reception that I was greeted in.

After checking my appointment, I was taken to one of the chairs further in the salon. The receptionist guy very helpfully took my coat and scarf, gave me a cloakroom tag and what looked like an open menu!

On closer inspection, the "menu" showed a list of complimentary refreshments (including fruit juices, different fancy coffees - like vanilla lattes - and other delightful drinks). The next few pages showed different selections of Tigi hair colourings and Kerastase treatments. The back page read the DVD offerings for your enjoyment! I thought this was a very innovative idea but you wouldn't be able to watch the whole movie if you were only getting a cut (which is about an hour or so). However they only had the older movies that you've probably seen already including The Incredibles, Finding Nemo and The Devil Wears Prada.

After a few moments, my stylist came over for my consultation. She was very thorough with finding out what my normal hair routine was, what I used, how I styled it, what I wanted my hair to look like, how I wanted it dried today, everything!

After this discussion, I felt very happy to leave my hair in her hands.

Then, a trainee colourist came over and helped me put on a waterproof robe to protect my clothing, asked me about my beverage choice (hot chocolate because they were out of vanilla lattes) and I was led over to the hair washing basins.

The domes were all lit like a rainbow (pictured below) and it was very inviting.

The domes actually surround your head and gradually change colour, calming you. There are also speakers in the sides of the domes trickling out gentle tunes to lull you into relaxation. If that wasn't enough, the chairs are controlled by the staff and recline into almost lying down position, and they easily massage and knead away any tension left in your body.

The hair washing was a very pleasant experience. I was told exactly what was happening (1st shampoo, 2nd shampoo etc) and she was very tentative with the water temperature.

I was taken back to one of the chairs and out came my AMAZING complimentary hot chocolate, along with a little biccy and some sugar (which I did not need!).

Then, I had my cut and everything was great! I didn't feel uncomfortable and my stylist was talking to me throughout so I knew exactly what she was doing. It's so reassuring for someone who hates parting with hair!

I loved how they placed the products they used on the tray in front of me.

The shampoo smelled absolutely divine and is something I would like to pick up next! They used a moisture shampoo for my hair, but the stylist didn't think my hair was dry. She knew I blew-dry it a lot so that was probably the reason.

Before any blades had even touched my hair, she ran some Moroccan Oil through my tresses to keep it soft and shiny!

Everything was excellent from start to finish and I felt very valued and skipped down the street home :P

Visit the website for the Putney branch here, where you can take a 360° panoramic view!

Sean Hanna has 9 salons: Bristol, Cambridge, Canary Wharf, Croydon, Epson, Putney, Sutton, Wimbledon and Worcester Park.

Let me know if you go/have been! I'd love to hear your thoughts :D

Love love and hairlove!!

P.S. Images of the salon taken off the Sean Hanna website. All opinions are my own and I did not receive any incentive or payment to write this review.
