% Bridesmaid Dress Shopping $

Well, my brother is getting married on October 23rd! It's going to be in Malaysia and I leave on the 9th for it. I'm so very excited, just to go back there as it's been far too long and I miss my family over there (most of them live there - my parents were born and raised there) which is HUGE so its always fun going back! And by huge, I mean I have around 85-90 first cousins alone. I don't even know half of them!!! LOL

It was only decided a few days ago that my brother would be having 4 groomsmen and so my sister-in-law-to-be needed an extra bridesmaid and so she asked me! Of course I jumped at the chance and so dress shopping ensued!!

We planned meeting at Selfridges after work just to look around as we didn't think we'd find anything on the first go.

My budget was £150 so we first hit the Women's Fashion sections and quickly realised that the nice dresses were at least £600, so down to "Women's Street Fashion" we went...

All Saints, Topshop, Coast, Lipsy etc

Here are some pics of me trying on dresses:
The changing room had infinity mirrors (mirrors on and so creative pics happened:

And this is the dress we chose in the end!
It's actually a size 6 (surprising!) so it means no eating and plenty of exercise from now on!By no eating I meant healthy eating. No eating sugary snacks! (Don't ever not eat, you will die of starvation. True story.)

Link for the dress on the Lipsy site here
(it comes in a blue-toned purple as well, which I tried on first and can be seen above in some pics)

Also got this dress too!
But I only realise now I don't have a pic... so you can see it on the Lipsy site here :)

And Mel (the bride) got this dress!

So, what are your thoughts? Lipsy WINS hands-down for me!

Love love and dresslove!!

+# New Shosies!!! #+

Well, if you follow me on Twitter, then you'll know I went shopping on Sunday!
I spent the day in Guildford with my mother and I found the most comfy, sexy, hot shoe-boots ever!!!!
They were in M&S of all places! I never really go in there, but my mother loves it there and she wanted me to see some shoes she picked out for her wedding outfit but needed my opinion first. Turns out, they weren't in the Guildford M&S branch, but I did stumble across these beauts!
Seriously, M&S was the first store we hit (as we had to walk through it anyway to get to the other street) and I was thinking about them the whole time!
See them online here.
Don't you think my modelling is awesome though? I think they make my legs look so much better than they actually are!!!
I got really grumpy when I was being dressed in this pink/purple psychedelic monster which did not suit my figure at all! (This was actually in Debenhams near the end of our trip)
Wow, my leg is going dead and I'm not interesting at all today...
Things are a bit weird atm :( in general life... but shoes make it better :D
EDIT: I wrote this post yesterday, but life is definitely looking up today!
I got the black ones (as you can see in the pics, but they also do a shroomy-grey)
Mother helped me model them in store! Haha, she said she'd be borrowing them! Love having the same size feet! Means I can steal hers too :P
Some random pics that I'm just unloading from my iPhone:
(spied a Hummer!)
(got me this for one little squid at LFWE - it's frikkin' HUGE!)
(would love to recreate this sometime!)
(This is a car battery!)
Love love and shoelove!!

= Day out with my beautiful housies! $

EEEEE! The bee in my title is super cute :P

So took a little day out with my gorgeous housemates today. We went shopping (on a budget) and had some lunchies in the wonderful town that is Kingston!

It was such a nice day to spend with them and it didn't rain! Hooray!!

So first place we went to was Primark. I don't normally buy things there, but I do realise that because its so cheap, I end up just picking something up everytime I do enter their store... I got a plain super-light black compact umbrella (because I lost my cute white one with pink stars all over it!) and a set of two pairs of plain black gloves. These weren't really worth photographing, even just using my iPhone. I'm sure you can imagine!

I also managed to pick some these cute black suede turned down studded boots for £15! I got my housemate (Viv) to model them for me :P

I also got this faux gold necklace with a little owl on it, which my other housemate helped me name Wol (which is owl but typo-ed!).
I know I'm a little bit late jumping on the owl band-wagon, but hey, I don't follow trends quickly ever!

Also, I skipped along to The Body Shop and picked up a few little essentials - Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner, Nutriganics Smoothing Night Cream (which the SA looked at me weirdly for buying it LOL as its for smoothing wrinkles, but remember guys, prevention is better than cure), Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion with SPF15 and Soft Hands Kind Heart Hand Cream.
I got a new Love Your Body card too, since mine had expired!
I love the new design :)

Had a browse around H&M, Zara and New Look but nothing took my fancy today. Also, spent moolah on getting a TV license today :P

We also hopped into a fabric store to pick up some material to make cushions, so I got some ribbon to make some cheer bows to wear when I go watch competitions. Both my housemates are cheerleaders :)

Well, that was short! How weird for me...

Maybe I'll just show my face because I'm vain like that :P
And then here's me showing off my rings LOL (and my sparkles on my nails!)

And here is a sneaky pic I took of my housemate (Viv) and I in Claire's trying on the hallowe'en stuff before we got told off :P

And here are our OOTDs!

Well, that was fun! Time to start dinner, methinks!

Love love and dayoutlove!!

$ Friday's work OOTD! (FOTD too)

Hello friends :)

I have not done a OOTD for a long time... if ever?

But today, I'm wearing a few new things which I love and made me feel special so I thought I'd share my outfit with you.

It's getting cold in London now, and usually I stick to the block colour of black, but it seems to be too heavy since Autumn has only JUST started so I picked up a few navy blue items to keep me warm but still give me the colour!

I always look over the sea of grey and black suits as I hop onto the tube every morning and it is so depressing! Luckily my work (which I'm not willing to disclose for personal reasons) has a casual dress code :)

So the new items include:

Boots!!! EEE I've never had any ankle length boots and these just cut my calf a little (probably because I'm so short!) but they're leathery and have antique-y silver studs down the sides with a slight ruffly edge too!
(£29.99 from H&M)

Navy blue cardigan which shows off a v-neck and a long-ish body! Again, its long on me, but would probably be normal for those around an average height XD Its quite a thick knit but is very nice quality and won't go bobbly, if you know what I mean! I feel this might just be the item that takes me through to winter, before I start living in hoodies again!
(£7.99 from H&M)

Then we have the new jacket! Which I LOVE! Its got that blazer style, but made of a thick jersey-like material so its soft to wear but warm too and still holds a nice shape. It's called the Ponte Rider Jacket and I bought it from the New Look website. I'm glad it fits me well :) There are two other colour options aswell - in black and a dark beige colour.Align Centre(£24.99 from New Look)

My jeans are straight leg Levi's which I got a while ago for £15 from a Levi outlet store and my yellow top (if you can see it) is actually a Minnie Mouse print one from H&M kids LOL!

My FOTD is quite simple today.
Primer - Michael Todd Instant Fill Primer
Foundation - Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation sample
Powder - Maybelline Pure Mineral Foundation powder
Eyeshadows - E.L.F. Studio Eyeshadow in Amethyst, MAC Eyeshadow in a brown colour that I forgot the name of :P
Mascaras - Eyeko Big Eyes Mascara, Maybelline Lash Stiletto
Bronzer - The Body Shop Baked-to-last Bronzer in 01 Golden Bronze
Lipstain - Twilight Duwop Lip Venom (might do a review of this!)
Lipstick - The Body Shop Delipscious Sheer Lip Colour in 09 Sheer Pomegranate

And that's it really!
Oh, after uploading the piccies, I realise that I took them before I applied my lippie XD FAIL!

I was browsing The Body Shop website Wednesday and came across their New Autumn Trend collection. Can I just say, I thought these were out already so ran to the store that evening (as I was on Oxford Street meeting a friend for dinner) and hoped to pick up these two new Cheeek & Face Powder (yes it's spelled Cheeek with threee Es!) but they weren't there :( I am anticipating for them to come out though! The beautiful autumn leaf motif has me sold already and the colours do look beautiful!!

Here are some pictures that you might enjoy :)
Cute?
mmm... pandan flavoured frog spawn drinky
Finished my first Battleships finally! (After reading the instructions again and properly lol! Haven't completed another since though D: )
Wednesday dinner with Carla! Check out her blog :)
I adore this polish. Not because of the way it looks, but because of the compliments I get from it everytime I have it on! This combo is DA BOMB!!
The undercoat is N.Y.C. Manhattan (I believe?) and the glitter is GOSH Rainbow. I think its a dupe for a Nfu-Oh polish.
How gorgeous does the sun look? This was on Wednesday morning on Putney Bridge as I waiting for the bus to work :)
And believe it or not, this is the Thames River from the same bridge, same morning! Not a cloud in the sky :)
I went to the Hummingbird Bakery on Portobello Road (as this is near where I work) and picked up these gorgeous hand design cupcakes as a treat for my housemates! Expensive, but yummy!!!

So how've you been?

Love love and picturelove!!
