Come to Poppy/I Lily Love You NOTD

When you think of poppies, you think red - or at least I do!

However, OPI Come to Poppy is an orange-toned pink with a pearlescent undertone.

I wanted to have pink tips, showcasing Come to Poppy and make my nails look like they were done with gel polish so I created this design. I've got a step-by-step guide below so you can re-create it on your own nails :)

Step 1: Base coat

Always a wise thing to protect your nails before painting colour onto them - especially dark/bright colours!

Step 2: Side swipe tips

Using the brush of the polish paint the tips of the nails. Then swipe a little down on one side of the nails - I usually swipe down towards the pinky finger so each hand is opposite.

Step 3: Black outline

For this step, I used a striper polish in black to draw the outline of the tip. It really helps to define the two areas although this is optional. Also, you can do it after the next step if you want.

Step 4: Layer glitter polish

I Lily Love You by OPI is a sheer pink polish with lots of pink glittery flakes. I layered about 3-4 coats of this polish to get this thick, strong look. I then added two layers of a top coat to make it even thicker.

And this is the result!

Have you got the Nice Stems collection by OPI?

Love love and poppylove!!
